Back to routine
All of the pups have now left for their new, loving families. The last boy left a week ago on May 3rd and ever since the house has felt very empty and quiet. I do miss the little freckle faces a lot, but it helps to know how much joy they bring to their new owners. All puppies have lovely, open temperaments and according to their new owners are very clever and quick at learning new things. Of course at times they can be little sweet devils, too, like little Welsh pups tend to be.
I will move back to Iisalmi with Nuusku and Emma tomorrow and will soon start agility with Emma again. Lots of dog hobbies and events are planned for the summer, so we won't get bored.
Many thanks to my parents for being such great help with the little ones and to all good friends who have given good advice and been so supportive!

Wild little sweeties
The puppies are now (6.4.) four and a half weeks old and are developing so quickly! They have had some visitors by now and everyone agrees with me that they are just adorable. They love to play with each other, but also climb in anybody's lap and bite you in toes or fingers. Needless to say I haven't needed the TV much lately as I have something much more exciting to watch.
Today the pups had fun with a bird wing. Little-Pirkko was the absolute winner, but the others were also happy to smell and carry the wing around the living room.
A future hunting dog?
Puppynews
The puppies turned two weeks yesterday and are growing nicely. They are starting to try walking on four feet and also playing with each other. It's a lot of fun watching them develope! Friida is still being a good mom, but also wants some time with us people and the grown-up dogs. We also have started to take a little longer walks now, which she really enjoys.
Puppies at the age of two weeks
Puppies were born 5.3.
Friida gave birth to five handsome boys and two beautiful girls on March 5th. Friida and her puppies are doing fine and Friida is a very good mother to her newborns. More information about the litter at "Puppies" page.
b>Exciting times
Friida along with me, Emma & Nuusku moved to the countryside on Thursday 21st February. There's plenty of more space and more helping hands here than in my little apartment in town.
Friida is doing very well and is the same happy girl as always, even though she has calmed down a lot with her pregnancy. By now it's easy to feel the puppies move in her tummy. In a week or two we will see how many little frecklefaces there will be!
Friida and her big tummy
Friida is in whelp!
We took Friida to ultrasound on February 1st and it showed several little pups in her tummy. The puppies will be born around week 10.
Friida Fin Ch at Alavus show 19.1.!
We travelled quite a long way with Friida & Ulla to Alavus group show on 19.1. and the weather was probably the worst this winter. But it was definitely worth it all since Friida was BOS and got her last CC and so became a Finnish Show Champion! The judge was Kirsi Nieminen and 9 Welshies were entered. Thank you breeder-Malin for this lovely little girl and family Kauppinen for taking such good care of Friida and being so co-operative, you are great!
Friida was mated to Ruffe 2.1.2008
Friida (Eastfarm's Home To Daddy) has been mated to Ruffe (Llawen Tuff Enuff) in early January and everything went well. Now we are anxiously waiting for puppies to be born during week 10 (in early March). More news and information can be found on " Puppies"-page.
